Northwestern, 17, No. 4 Iowa, 10.

W!

Call us Just Northwestern.

To be honest, I don't have a problem with it. I like it. I think it's kind of funny. It's clever, and, for most of the history of the world, it's been true.

So keep calling us that. But know that as long as you do, we'll keep winning games on your home field. Or as we call it, Just Northwestern Stadium.

I'll think later. But for now, let's just enjoy this. Sip with me, people.

Oh, and I'll see y'all in late December or early January.

Have a sip...

Well, I never heard it before, but it sounds uncommon nonsense.

JUST NORTHWESTERN!!!!

hate hate hate hate!!!!

how do we go about making a traveling trophy for the hottest rivalry in the Big Ten?

well, first off, it would have to be a rivalry.

which means we’d have to lose every once in a while.

Thirty years from now

Iowa fans will still remember this game and cringe.

Nicely done, Northwestern.

WOW

is all I can say, I was hoping for NU to keep it close but they pulled out the biggest win of Fitz’s tenure and breathed new life into the season. Go ’Cats!!!

(and for any Iowa fan who is a glutton for punishment and is still reading this: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

Um,

No one is seeing you early January.
/bitter Iowa fanness

That being, said, congrats, you earned a win today, and I won’t try to make excuses for it. I want to, and do, hate Northwestern (can’t do the whole jNWU thing in light of results) fans with a passion, but y’all won today and, unfortunately, seem to have our number (the eerie similarities between our season and PSU’s 2008 season will haunt me for the next week or more). Best of luck with the rest of the season, I hope you make a solid bowl and give your team the send off you deserve. And then I hope we f*cking curbstomp you next year – just because I really, really hate losing to you.

I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.

Congrats to the 'Cats

I am in pain, but congratulations to your team and fans. Like HoyaGoon, I won’t make excuses. Northwestern played well and they won by capitalizing on the mistakes by Iowa. Congrats again, good luck the rest of the way for your team and the fans. See ya next year.
