Big Ten Awards announced
John Shurna 2nd team all-conference for both the coaches and media, Jeremy Nash makes the all defensive team, Drew Crawford named freshman of the year by the media. Only real surprise was Bo Ryan not getting coach of the year.

Bo Ryan Was One of the Five Best Coaches in the COUNTRY this year...
along with Steve Alford (I hate him, but he’s been good), Jamie Dixon (Pitt overachieved), Buzz Williams (who expected Marquette to be this good?), and Jim Boeheim (not as much talent as KU, Kentucky, or Duke, but they’re as good as those three).
That he didn’t get Big Ten Coach of the Year is a travesty. I’m sure he doesn’t care (too busy prepping for the Big Ten Tournament), but it’s a travesty (no disrespect to Matt Painter, who’s a great coach as well).
