So it's Yom Kippur, which means I'm attending a Northwestern game without having eaten or drank anything in like, 24 hours. I was just at our tailgate. This is atonement for everything I've ever done ever.
However, it's the Michigan game, and I'm unbelievably pumped. Although many of you, and a tremendous amount of Michigan fans as well, have voted in our poll, and even I can't really be convinced Northwestern's going to pull it out today, I haven't ruled out the concept of Northwestern winning today. I still think it's possible. In fact, I straight up won't be surprised if it happens.
Hopefully, you punks are at the game instead of commentin' away - IT'S A SELLOUT! Personally, my fraternity rented out the Randy Walker Terrace for us and our alumni, so, you know, that, but if you're not at home, this is a damn important game and I expect this game thread to be poppin.

Michigan had six drives: three interceptions, two touchdowns and one punt. Denard is mistake prone, but he won’t be that bad in the second half. Gotta keep putting up points and get another turnover or two.

i dont blame the coaches nearly as much. the lead was largely due to denard being dumb, not anything we were doing. if michigan doesnt turn it over their offense is elite.
offense has been good, not great like we needed. we’re just losing to a better team.

But last week we won the turnover battle 3-0. This week it’s 3-1 (after that lousy review). We seem unable to take advantage of what other teams try to give us.

Michigan is going to move into the top 10. They are not a top 10 football team. Wisconsin would beat them by 40.
2nd best team in conference
They probably aren’t top 10, but they should run away with the division. Depending on what one thinks of Illinois, maybe the only B1G team other than Wisconsin that should be ranked.

Illinois has three three point home wins (Arizona State, Western Michigan, and NU). Their bigger wins are by 18 over Arkansas State, 53 over FCS South Dakota State, and 21 over Indiana. Michigan’s closest game was the home win over Notre Dame by 4; this was Michigan’s next smallest margin of victory. Against their two common opponents, Michigan beat NU by 18 compared to Illinois by 3, while Michigan beat Western Michigan by 24 compared to Illinois by 3.

NU played well against Illinois
But managed to find a way to lose (becoming a trend). NU played like dogshit in the second half against Michigan.
They play later this year (at UI) so we’ll have a chance to see.
