Four-star LB Ifeadi Odenigbo Picks Northwestern over Stanford, Notre Dame

Stay connected for news and updates

Big recruiting get for Northwestern, as Ifeadi Odenigbo, an outside linebacker/defensive end from Centerville, Ohio chose to come to Northwestern over academic football-playing peers in Stanford and Notre Dame. He's the second four-star defensive player in what's turned into a pretty decent class for Pat Fitzgerald and the Wildcats coaching staff.

Odenigbo could have committed in this past week's Under Armour All-American game, but chose to do it closer to home, which allowed the linebacker to actually play the hat game - you know, where he had a press conference and put on one hat - which unfortunately doesn't happen enough with Northwestern, although Tony Jones apparently did it too.

So, yeah, this is pretty good news. Any time Northwestern beats out the ex-Harbaughites and/or that school in South Bend, you feel good about it. NU might have lost in the something something something bowl of Texas last week, but good things happen sometimes!
