Venric Mark's accolades weren't done: he's also been named a first-team all-American punt returner by the Football Writers Association of America.

He'd already gotten honors from Sporting News and CBSSports.com as a punt returner. Mark won't be a consensus all-American - he needed three out of five from the Sporting News, FWAA, AP, AFCA, and WCFF. He got the first two, but the AP and AFCA went with Tavon Austin as an all-purpose player, the Walter Camp committee went with Dri Archer as a kick returner. Basically, its tough to get to be named a consensus all-American punt returner since not all five committees have the same designations, but he got two of five in the did that offer it. Tavon Austin did deserve the all-purpose honor, as he killed it on special teams, as well as in both wide receiver and running back roles. Archer was the only return specialist to earn the consensus nod, as he's also featured on the FWAA list.

Mark was the only Big Ten player on the first-team FWAA list, which was to be expected.

So congrats to Venric Mark, all-American on another well-deserved honor. Another year like this, he'll hopefully be able to add some running back honors to that list.
