Sup fellas and ladies! Northwestern's bout to play Purdue! Let's all get together and talk about it!
There are some awesome omens in the house: first off, Northwestern is wearing black, a uniform choice that has NU 2-0. Second off, Gus Johnson is announcing. The last time these two things were combined, Northwestern knocked off No. 7 Michigan State. I feel like for all of the Gus Johnson Big Ten Networking, very rarely do we actually get to sit back and listen to him in a game thread - he's been to Welsh-Ryan a decent amount - so I look forward just to getting to listen.
A win today, in addition to being awesome, would put Northwestern in sole sixth place in the Big Ten at 6-6. That, well, um, that, um would be really really cool. So let's see Northwestern go out and do it. Other thing to think about: the John Shurna record-breaking tracker is at 75, as he has 1825 career points.

We had a Tyler Griffey sighting. Unless that dude was injured, I don’t know why Weber didn’t play him more against us. 7 footer that can hit threes?

Already four turnovers
Had that many in 36 minutes against Iowa. Tougher to play when the opponent actually plays defense.

And yet we’re down just one with the ball. Weird, awkward uncomfortable game.
Got away with one there.
Purdue guy got fouled on the previous trip.

Plus, so far it’s been mostly the Bad Drew, forcing shots.

Does Carmody hate him? He was a good scorer last year and has barely played this year. I understand he was injured but if he’s healthy he should be one of the first players off the bench

Purdue's ability to drill that 3 was the difference.
I thought we tightened up the middle to prevent that slash they were killing us in the first half. Now even if they miss those shots maybe we don’t rebound ‘em, but I don’t recall the Boilers being that accurate from distance.
