Charity is good and Illinois is bad

Every Day Should Be Saturday, my favorite overall football blog (despite its southern slant), is running their annual charity drive here. Proceeds go towards helping recently arrived refugees to America start new lives in the Atlanta area. What really got me interested was the opportunity to use charitable donations to taunt other schools via football scores and track donations by school to show who is the best at being charitable (make sure to select Northwestern University in the drop down menu when donating, or type it in the Other box below).

Personally, I donated $50.14 to commemorate last year's beatdown of the Illini. Tim Beckman isn't incompetent, just trying to inspire more charity.

Well, maybe it's both.

Feel free to donate other favorite scores, such as $54.51 for The Game That Invented The Spread And Also Michigan Sucks, $17.15 to commemorate Northwestern's 18 year and running win streak against That School In South Bend, $34.20 for the end of the bowl streak, or just $14.00 for next year's record.

So dig deep fellow Northwestern fans. Reach into the pockets of your Armani suits, search under the seats of your Ferraris, or just cut a little extra out of Jeeves' Christmas bonus. Just because Illinois can't have nice things doesn't mean new Americans shouldn't.

Go America, go donate, and Go 'Cats!
