While many were worried about how good or bad Northwestern looked this past week, the 'Cats racked up their 7th consecutive win, matching their longest since 1995 (NU won 9 straight in '95 and 7 straight in '96). Also, NU hasn't lost in regulation in the past 9 games, and have had a fourth quarter lead in each of the past 17 straight games.
The Wildcats have also won 6 straight games by double digits (14 points or more, in fact), by far the longest since at least 1995 (NU won 3 straight by double digits in both 1995 & 1996).
NU has now been ranked in 8 consecutive polls (both AP & Coaches), the longest such streak for NU since 2001 (Coaches: 8) and 2000 (AP: 10).
This is the 4th time that NU has been 4-0 since 1995 (other occasions: 2008, 2010, and 2012), and the 'Cats won game number 5 in each of those prior instances.
