Northwestern Wins the Gator Bowl over Mississippi State, 34-20
Northwestern picked off Tyler Russell four times to beat Mississippi State in the Gator Bowl. The Cats won a bowl game for the first time since 1949, making Pat Fitzgerald the winningest coach in Northwestern history, plus, NU won ten games. Euphoria!

When the clock hit 0:00, with the score Northwestern 34, Mississippi State 20, there was pandemonium on the NU side of Everbank Field. It was a great day to be a Wildcats fan.
