W!

So I just got back from a long, but overwhelmingly excellent day, and after a quick shower, I'm completely purple body paint-free.

I couldn't have imagined a finer end to the regular season than the one the past three weeks, and, well, the past eight hours, have provided NU fans with.

Three wins, two top-25 upsets, one bowl berth, and the two best back-to-back seasons for NU since the two everybody talks about.

I'll have in depth stuff tomorrow, after the basketball game, but, for now, let's keep this post up as one of them good ol' sippin threads.

Enjoy it, folks. There's a lot of schools out there, even our conference brethren with 50,000 students, that wish they could have had a season, and a lot of alumni wishing they could've had seasons with half as many wins as we had this year.

I'll get at y'all tomorrow.

W!

So, normally, I throw up one of these posts right after I get back from the game or when the game ends.

Not so easy when you don't get back from Champaign until 11:30, then decide to go out rather than go back to your dorm room when you get back. So sorry bout that, but a man's

Anyways, it's sunday, and, we're going someplace warm this winter. I'll have a game/day recap later, but let that whole Florida/Texas bowl thing sink in.

Oh, and I have no idea what the deal is with my site bugging out. I asked some tech people about it, it should be fixed pretty soon.

Call us Just Northwestern.

To be honest, I don't have a problem with it. I like it. I think it's kind of funny. It's clever, and, for most of the history of the world, it's been true.

So keep calling us that. But know that as long as you do, we'll keep winning games on your home field. Or as we call it, Just Northwestern Stadium.

I'll think later. But for now, let's just enjoy this. Sip with me, people.

Oh, and I'll see y'all in late December or early January.

Well, my voice is hoarse and I need about 14 hours of sleep. But man, that was awesome. Best game I've attended as an NU student, any sport.

Recap coming later. Thanks for the 252 comments.

Northwestern, 16, Miami (OH), 6.

W!

Well, it wasn't great, but, hey, I'll take it. A 16-6 w over Miami (OH) is still a win, and probably a better one than our 24-21 win over Eastern Michigan. Optimism, people.

Anyway, we won. We'll talk tomorrow.

Northwestern, 27, Purdue, 21.

This team needed a win to salvage a season that started out strong but was quickly doing its best Hindenberg impression. Somehow, we managed to make it close despite having awesome field position and FORCING SIX TURNOVERS, but, man, we pulled it out, and that's all that matters.

We'll talk later. Big thanks to everybody who stopped by in the comments section, hope you guys enjoyed it as much as I did, let's do it again when we hit the road in two weeks.
